FPGA Design Engineer

We are seeking for a key contributor in the Hardware development team creating next generation Video Products.

You’ll be in charge of developing complex large FPGAs used on High Speed boards (above 1 GHz). You must have experience with testing and supporting the bringing-up of complex boards where your FPGA is the central part.

You’ll be part of a team of FPGA and Hardware designers working closely with Software and Testing/Validation groups.

As an FPGA Design Engineer you will be expected to:

· Define the Architecture and Logical partition of the FPGA.

· Design structural blocks including interface to processors and complex ASICs. Simulate and validate them.

· Understand algorithms and their implementation for Video and Audio in Standard and High Definition broadcast signals.

· Contribute to final product configuration and capability through negotiation with team members on the costs, pros and cons of different approaches/requirements.

· Identify the steps, risks and associated planned development times to deliver robust, debugged code.

Requirements:

Engineering degree with minimum 4 - 5 years of FPGA design experience.
Hands-on HDL coding, preferably with Verilog
Experienced with FPGAs/CPLDs from Xilinx and Lattice and their respective development environment.
Strong skills in simulating and testing, preferably with ModelSim.
Ability to write highly portable, parameterizable, modular and scalable code to allow easy portability, reusability and maintenance.
Hardware analysis and debugging skills using standard test instruments. Analog design skills a definite asset.
Good command of English. Clearly and concisely communicate complex technical information to management and to development teams. Be able to produce Architectural, Design and Test documentation.

It is desirable that the candidate has:

Some experience with HW (Board) design and standard interfaces: PCI, I2C, JTAG etc.
Some knowledge of C and/or some assembler language is a definite asset.

Priority will be given to candidates with experience in Analog and Digital Video product design.

Salarizare: Motivanta, negociabila, incepind cu 900 USD net/luna, in functie de cunostinte.
