Our company is developing core video and audio codec technology to further enhance and accelerate its suite of digital media products. With this in mind, our company is looking for s/w developers to design/implement key algorithms on custom hardware platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Embedded Software Engineer will be part of a team developing real-time, embedded application and digital processing software. This engineer is expected to become familiar with an existing code base and integrate this into new hardware platform. The position involves the creation/modification of driver s/w, management of operating system threads and processes, and the development of digital signal processing algorithms for a parallel processing environment.

The Embedded Software Engineer will follow requirements, design, code, test and integrate real-time software. Assignments will include generating required software documentation. He will respond and resolve software dependencies. In this role he will interface with hardware and software architects, team leaders and individual developers.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong 'C'' programming skills as well as hands-on hardware are required. The candidate should be comfortable at interpreting data sheets. Embedded experience under any real-time operating system is required. Familiarity with concepts such as kernel threads, processes, system calls, wait-queues and atomic/critical operations is a must. Win32 driver or operating system experience is a must. Linux experience on any CPU is very desirable. Experience with VASP-4096 parallel processing architecture is a plus. A signal/data processing background is a plus. Candidate should have on average 5-10 years of experience.

Areas of desired experience or expertise include: Experience at low-level coding of 8-bit, 16-bit and/or 32-bit Micro-controllers. Experience with software development tools such as a source level debugger or code profiler is required. Experience with Source Version Control and familiarity with any or all of the standards or architectures such as PCI/PCI-X Bus, PCI Bus Mastering devices is desirable

Salarizare: Motivanta, negociabila, incepind cu 900 USD net/luna, in functie de cunostinte.
